Buy and manage tools required for specific crimes. Good tools raise your success chance, worn tools lower it.
How it works
- The tool shop shows all available items with price, condition rating and the crime type they are required for.
- Each crime category has preferred tools: burglary requires crowbar or picks, car theft requires a hotwire kit, robbery requires a firearm.
- Tools have a condition rating (0-100%). Each successful or failed crime lowers condition by a few percent.
- Below 20% condition the tool's success chance bonus drops drastically. Below 5% the tool has almost no effect.
- Repaired tools through the shop cost a fraction of the purchase price. Replacement is sometimes cheaper than repair for heavily worn tools.
- Tools are visible in your inventory tab. You can keep multiple copies of the same type as backup.
Tips
- Buy tools in bulk when they are cheap on the black market: you save compared to the shop.
- Set a personal threshold: always replace tools when condition drops below 25% to keep success chances stable.
