Serve your prison sentence, pay bail or attempt to escape. The higher your Wanted Level the longer and more expensive your sentence.
How it works
- After arrest a timer starts based on Wanted Level. Wanted Level 1 = short sentence (minutes), Wanted Level 5+ = hours in prison.
- Bail scales with your remaining sentence and never drops below Wanted Level × €1,000. Longer sentences therefore cost more to buy out immediately.
- Escape: you can attempt a prison break but success chance is low. Failure extends your sentence by a fixed amount.
- In the Prison list and jail overlay you can always pay your own bail and also attempt your own escape while still jailed. On the jail overlay you can also solve plus, minus and divide sums; each correct answer removes 10 seconds from your sentence.
- Anyone can buy another player out with their own cash. Only the crew owner and co-owners see an extra button on a jailed crewmate to pay bail from the crew bank. You keep your own cash; the vault is charged.
- Paying from the crew bank is dirty money. Sometimes the police then arrest you (about 1 in 5 times, 30 to 45 minutes in jail). The other player is already free. You cannot use the crew bank while you yourself are jailed.
- Crew members can visit you and provide small benefits (stats, morale) while you are locked up.
- On arrest your friends and crew members now receive a push notification that you were caught and are waiting for help.
- World chat also posts a public Prison line with your name. If another player pays your bail or breaks you out, both names appear there.
- Weapons and armor are confiscated on arrest if you have no legal cover for them.
- Court option: go to court for a sentence reduction via a lawyer (see Court).
- While locked up production timers (drugs, ammo factory) keep running. Your empire works without you.
- You cannot visit the hospital while locked up. HP recovery waits until you are free.
- While jailed the Black Market is closed: you cannot buy, sell or list there. On the Training hub you can still train strength, speed and stamina; the shooting range stays closed until you are released.
Tips
- Check bail immediately after arrest: the button should remain visible as long as you are still jailed, even if your Wanted Level has already dropped.
- Start production timers just before doing a high-risk crime run: if you get caught production keeps running anyway.
- Crew-bank buyout warns you about dirty money first: confirm only if the crew can really spare the bail.
